Dot NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME universal TLD is the single TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are popular by. At first, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to purchase john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to edit the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no special restrictions on who can purchase a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
